If you weren’t a fund manager, what job would you do?
I have always thought being a location scout for films would be magical. That or interior design, I spend a lot of time on Pinterest.

What was the proudest moment of your career?
Becoming Ruffer’s youngest ever fund manager in 2022, when I became co-manager of our investment company.
What was the most difficult moment of your career and why?
Keeping investors on the journey after giving back our strong 2022 returns in a difficult 2023. That can be a challenge when we are positioned so differently to the market and our views are so non-consensus.
What advice would you give to your 20-year-old self?
Find more ways to develop your confidence, it is really important in the workplace and our industry.
Away from the workplace, how do you spend your time?
One of my favourite things to do at the weekend is a leisurely cycle to explore new areas of London, with multiple coffee and pastry pit stops.

Tell us about the last book you read or concert you recently enjoyed and why?
Latest book was ‘How Westminster Works… and Why it Doesn’t’, an alarming but very insightful explanation of our political system in the UK. Latest concert was a trip to The Eras Tour in Paris…
Where was the last place you went on holiday and why?
The Dolomites, to properly switch off and just hike, swim and eat good food. The scenery is stunning and the cultural mix between Italian and German is really interesting.
In your personal life, what would you like to achieve in the next 12 months?
I have just signed up to a WSET wine course, so hopefully pass that and be able to read a wine list with some confidence. That and turn 30 with a smile on my face.
